The heart of the project will be the flooring with precious stone and the choice fell on the granite of Iragna and the pink porphyry of Cuasso Al Monte. We wanted to favor local materials, which integrate into the Ticino urban landscape and are durable over time.
In addition to the flooring and substructures, the redevelopment includes the renovation of street furniture and public lighting.
Fulcrum of the enhancement of Piazza Domenico Fontana will be the new location of the obelisk dedicated to the architect from Melido, who went down in history in particular for having in turn erected the Vatican Obelisk, in St. Peter's Square, in 1586.
The strong point, on the other hand, of the lighting project will be the luminous path on the ground that will cross the whole nucleus, almost accompanying those who walk the streets. It will be based on the "emotional lighting" concept, which will integrate with street furniture.
